Sachipar is a Sambalpuri sari from Odisha. Checked patterns are its highlight. They provide a classy, power dressing statement as they are understated and bold at the same time. It has been a favorite of many aristocrats in India.
The signature style of Sachipar saris are the woven checks. The pallu (decorated end of a sari that hangs loose when worn) is arranged in horizontal lines with motifs filling up the space in between. Lines alternating with a variety of motifs are the signature of the classic Odisha textiles.
When human hands and heart work in tandem, that is grace in the making. Handwoven cloth has beauty and grace that is significant.
