Adiguruve – Ode to the Adiyogi (Sounds of Isha)

This outpouring of devotion by Sadhguru Shri Brahma, a yogi of enormous proportions who walked this land about a century ago, captures the complete surrender that he experiences for the Adi Guru.

Adi Guru literally means the first Guru. In the yogic lore, Shiva is not looked upon as a god but as the first Guru. His teachings have survived the test of time and inspired people to aspire for their highest possibility. This song also serves as an invocation for his Grace.

முத்துமணி ரத்தினமே மோனமுத்தர் நாயகமே

நல்லார்க்கும் பொல்லார்க்கும் நடுநின்ற ஞானிகட்கும்
வல்லார்க்கும் வரமளித்த வாழ்வேயென் சற்குருவே

கண்ணே கருத்தே கருத்திலுறு நற்கனியே
விண்ணே ஒளியில் நின்ற விழைவேயென் சற்குருவே

தேவர்முதல் காணாத திருநடம் தந்தாண்டு கொண்டு

தேவாமிர்தம் ஈந்த சின்மயமாம் சற்குருவே

அண்டபண்டமாகி நின்ற அமுதப் பசுந்தேனே
