English (Poem)

    A land that inspired
    silken bards in hordes

    Ancient tongues lost their
    battles against this celtic flair

Sons of this cold but pretty isle
in conquest have outdone Alexander’s guile

    Viking, Roman, German assault
revisited this isle but conquered it not

Not lacking in ingenuity or cunning
went on in rampage and compassion winning

    Though conquered lands would in
control remain not as times did the armies in

What the majesty’s much prided armies could not win
Minds and hearts in multitude fair language did win

    Love & Grace
