The rivers of Bharat which have nourished us for millennia are now facing dangerous levels of depletion. On average, major rivers have depleted by about 40% since Independence. Just as they have embraced us for generations and made our lives, we need to embrace them now.
This chant has been created to instill a sense of pride in our rivers and to bring awareness so that we can act on this imminent need.

The great land of Bharat is formed by the pure waters of mighty rivers like Ganga, Narmada, Sindhu, Saraswati and Kaveri, to name a few. Rivers define this nation; we have not seen the rivers as just water bodies, we have seen them as life-giving gods or goddesses; they are the fundamental building blocks of life.
